The excellent location in the center of Leiria, together with the proximity of two public buildings — the Town Hall and the Court — as well as the privileged view of Leiria Castle, were reasons enough for us to approach this project with redoubled commitment.
 

Taking these premises into account, the outlined program seeks to respond to the context by substantially increasing parking capacity, introducing various housing typologies, and expanding the commercial offering to support the existing facilities.

The guiding idea of the proposal is to extend Praça da República into the site, giving it continuity and human scale, creating a continuous space with its own life, even at night.
