If I carried out this project, it was thanks to my passion for the "pleasures of the table"!
Let me explain…
The challenge arose during a cooking course, through a friend who wanted to open a gourmet café that would stand apart from the latest generation of such spaces. Places that are usually stereotyped, rough, unattractive, and noisy — which always provoked in me a feeling of disdain, although I would resort to them in case of emergency.
At the time, another friend had launched an innovative printing system adaptable to various materials. With his help and patience, we built a set of printed wooden panels that recreate the atmosphere of the cafés that had since been “reconverted".
The rest of the project evolved around this concept, extending even to the design of the wooden tables with stone tops.
