An initial note to state that working on heritage makes the task more complex, but also incredibly more appealing.

The São José building is a prime example of this, as it combines that complexity with its use: housing residents with severe disabilities.

​

Although this is not the occasion to detail the circulation restrictions required by such use, it is worth highlighting the effort made to ensure that the enjoyment of the spaces (bedrooms, dining halls, living areas, circulation, …) is as simple, safe, and comfortable as possible.

As for the exterior, our intention was to preserve and restore the fundamental elements of the construction, using products and application methods close to the originals.
